Black Friday Apps Survival Guide

We all know that Black Friday is the shopping highlight of the year, but it can also be stressful — I mean, really, the term “door-crasher” is literal. The key to success when tackling Black Friday is to be prepared. There are tons of apps out there that can help shoppers stay sane during this time, so we’ve decided to help narrow down your options and offer you the top apps that we think will help you make it out alive this Black Friday weekend.

1. Shopular (Android and iOS)

Shopular App

With deal alerts and coupons available for hundreds of your favorite stores, Shopular is an awesome option to help you get what you want, and keep costs low. With Shopular you’ll want to take advantage of their option to filter deals based on your specific interests — there are so many sales happening that you don’t want to be overwhelmed by ones that you’re not interested in. In addition to flagging your top interests, if you allow Shopular to use your location settings it’ll even tell you when an unbeatable deal is nearby, so you don’t miss a thing!

2. Offers.com (Android and iOS)

Offers.com App

As you probably can tell from the name, Offers.com is a website, but they have also created their own mobile app so that their deals can be accessed easily while you’re on-the-go. This mega-savings online store provide users with coupon codes and deals to over 15,000 stores. (Yes, you read that correctly, Fifteen THOUSAND!) One of my favorite parts of this app is that not only do they have deals for retail and electronics stores, but also furniture, travel and restaurants. During Black Friday it’s important to fuel up and take a quick 10 minutes out of your hectic day to grab a bite to eat — your Offers.com app will give you money-saving options no matter what you’re buying on November 24th.

Sale and coupon apps are awesome, but we understand that finding deals is often the easiest part of Black Friday shopping. The next 2 apps will help you stay organized and within budget if you’re hoping to use your Black Friday mall trip to save on gifts for this holiday season. Keep in mind that although these apps are very clearly Christmas-themed, they can be used for just about any gift-giving event or holiday.

3. Christmas Gift List (Android)

Christmas Gift List App

This helpful application is simple yet effective when it comes to keeping your holiday shopping in control. With the Christmas Gift List app you can pin point exactly what you want to get each person on your list and assign a budget for each of them so you can avoid breaking the bank. The app makes it easy for you to add new gift recipients and also offers a summary of how much you’ve spent so far and how many days you have left before the main event!

4. Santa’s Bag (iOS)

Santas Bag App

Similar to Christmas Gift List, Santa’s Bag offers iOS users the ability to keep your shopping list organized this Black Friday. Set your budget, choose your recipients, and off you go! We know that Black Friday is not all about shopping for others, so add your own name to your list and add your own wish list. After a long day of shopping and door-busting you’ll deserve a little (or big) something for yourself. Aside from shopping and trying to stay organized on arguably the most hectic day of the year, there’s one more thing that you’ll probably appreciate planning ahead of time — parking. Sure, you could go to your local mall the night before and camp out in the cold, but why do that when you could just reserve a parking spot ahead of time instead of getting frostbite?

5. Spot Hero (Android and iOS)

Spot Hero App

With parking options in most major cities, Spot Hero gives users the opportunity to find the best parking rates and even reserve spots ahead of time. You’ll save time and money, as reserving a parking spot ahead of time with Spot Hero will give you up to 50% off the regular lot rates. Sounds like more money to spend on Black Friday deals if you ask me! Downloading the app on your Android or iOS device will also reduce your risk of getting a parking ticket because you’re able to extend your parking time directly within the app, which unfortunately you’ll probably have to do once you get into one of those long check-out lines. If you have a go-to app that you’re planning to rely on we’d love to hear about it.
